Stillbirth Tax Credit Bill Moves to the House Floor!

On April 26, 2021, we had the honor of advocating for HB 146, a legislative bill that establishes an income tax credit for the delivery of a stillborn child. Saul's Light family advocates poured out their hearts and our representatives listened!

We're extremely thankful for Representatives Stephanie Hilferty and Pat Moore sponsoring this bipartisan bill, Chairman Bishop and the committee for allowing this bill favorable passage, and Rep. Rhonda Butler for assisting our testimonials.

This bill would not have advanced forward without the heartfelt words of the family advocates. They are Joni Hess (baby Eliana), Patti Rae Arocha (baby Evan), Lisa Rowell (baby Julianna), Terri Goodridge (baby Oliver), and Erin Simms (baby Eli).

HB 146 was the ONLY bill with a fiscal note to advance out of the Committee.
