Position Summary:

Saul’s Light Foundation is looking for a Milk Mobile Driver to be responsible for the transportation of breast milk from parents to babies in the NICU. Additionally, drivers will be responsible for transporting breast milk to the Milk Bank and returning hospital grade breastpumps to hospitals. Assignments are expected to be carried out in person and remotely. Given the nature of non-profit work, the candidate must have a passion for public sector service and community engagement. Only candidates with sound judgment, time management skills, and internal motivation should apply. Work is assigned and supervised by the Director of Operations and the Executive Director of Saul’s Light Foundation.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

● Maintain the vehicle and keep it clean and neat - this includes the interior and the exterior of the vehicle.

● Detailed tracking of mileage, maintenance issues

● Maintaining clear communication with families, Saul’s Light staff, and hospital partners about pick up and drop off times, including any delays or emergencies

● Keeping a clear and consistent schedule; notifying Saul’s Light of any schedule changes

● Prioritizing punctuality to hospital partners and families; remaining conscientious to other drivers on the road

● Attending all virtual and in-person meetings with the Saul’s Light Team when scheduled

Qualifications / Education:

● Current Louisiana driver’s license

● Clean driving record

● Must be able to pass a background check

● Punctual with excellent communication skills

● Knowledge of data recording and reporting

● Ability to work with diversity and multi-disciplinary teams

● Excellent time-management and organizational skills

● Detail-oriented and efficient

● Confidentiality

● Seasonal vaccinations preferred, but not required
