Establishment of a Stillbirth Tax Credit

On June 30, 2021, Governor Edwards signed HB 146 into law as Act 467, which establishes an income tax credit following the delivery of a stillborn child! Saul's Light was proud to advocate for this law in support of Louisiana’s bereaved families. We would like to thank Rep. Stephanie Hilferty and the Louisiana legislature for the courage to bring this bill forth and for the courage & compassion of the family advocates.
